Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), located in Doimukh, Arunachal Pradesh, India, is a Central University under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Founded in 1984, RGU holds the distinction of being the oldest university in Arunachal Pradesh.

RGU operates as a central university, established and funded by the Indian government. Situated at Rono Hills in Doimukh town, approximately 28 km from the state capital, Itanagar. The foundation stone for the university was laid by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The university campus spans 302 acres. The university provides various facilities for students, including hostels for both boys and girls, banking facilities with ATMs, and tie-ups with multi-specialty hospitals. The campus also has amenities like indoor and outdoor sports zones, internet connectivity, a seminar hall, an open-air auditorium, and housing for staff. Special facilities like ramps, rails, and adapted toilets are available for differently-abled individuals.

RGU offers a diverse range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across various disciplines including Science, Arts, and Technology. They also offer diploma courses in subjects like yoga, tourism, and B.Ed. PG Admissions are mostly through Rajiv Gandhi University Common Entrance Test, RGUCET. Admissions for undergraduate programs are primarily through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) also RGUCET.

RGUCET 2025 was conducted from 10 - 17 July, 2025 in pen and paper mode for 57 programmes in five examination centres. The results declared are not in order of merit.
