Important dates

  • Notification Release: July 31, 2025.

  • Online Application Start Date: August 1, 2025.

  • Application Deadline: August 21, 2025.

  • Preliminary Exam: October 4, 5, and 11, 2025.

  • Mains Exam: November 29, 2025.

Eligibility criteria

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent.

  • Age: 20 to 28 years (as of August 1, 2025). Age relaxation is available for reserved categories as per government norms.

  • Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory.

  • Language: Proficiency in the official language of the state/UT for which the candidate applies is preferable.

Application process

  • Apply online through the official IBPS website: www.ibps.in.

  • The application process involves registration, uploading scanned documents (photograph, signature, left thumb impression, handwritten declaration), filling the detailed application form, and paying the application fee.

  • Application fees: 850 for General/OBC/EWS candidates and 175 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.

Selection process

  • Preliminary Exam: Qualifying in nature, the marks are not counted for the final merit list.

  • Main Exam: The scores obtained in the Mains exam are used for the final merit list.

  • Language Proficiency Test (LPT): A qualifying test to assess language proficiency in the official language of the state/UT

  • Provisional Allotment: Based on merit-cum-preference in the Mains exam and the final vacancies reported by the participating banks.

Salary and benefits

  • The basic pay starts at 24,050 and the gross salary ranges from approximately 40,720 to 44,000, depending on the location and bank policies.

  • In-hand salary is estimated to be around 37,000 to 39,000.

  • Allowances and benefits include Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Medical Allowance, Special Allowance, and Travel Allowance.
